About the Key West Club
Founded in 1972, the Key West Club is a community oriented club offering swimming, tennis and social activities for children and adults. The setting is private and surrounded by trees. Walking paths along the Rivanna River and through the woods keep you in tune with nature!
The club facility consists of a Junior Olympics 25 meter swimming pool with diving well, a separate toddler pool, a diving board, a large concrete apron and deck with lounge chairs and dining tables. The sheltered facility has restrooms, snack bar, ping pong and picnic tables. Our swim team belongs to the Jefferson Swim League and we offer private and group swim lessons.
Our two U.S. Open type acrylic surface tennis courts are available for year round play. Our youth tennis program participants play in area league competition. Private tennis lessons are offered for adults and children by our tennis professional.
Directions: From the city of Charlottesville, take 250 East to Pantops and turn left on Route 20 North, also known as Stony Point Road. Continue for proximately 1.7 miles and turn left on Route 816, Key West Drive. Follow Key West Drive 3/4 of the way around the bend in the road and turn left again remaining on Key West Drive then take the first gravel road to your left and follow it to the Key West Club parking area.
