2012 Swim Meet Schedule
Meet Schedule at JSL Site.IMPORTANT MEET INFORMATION FOR COACHING STAFF
Meet entries will be completed each week on Monday morning. PLEASE let the coaches know if you will NOT BE GOING to a swim meet by SUNDAY whenever possible. It is understandable that things come up, but swimmers who are entered and are unable to come to the meet slow the it down, so please keep the coaches updated!
Key West had their best season ever last season--and this was partly due to how many more swimmers we had at our meets! Please try to keep your calendars clear for Wednesday evenings, and for CHAMPS! We moved up in rankings last season, and we hope to continue the trend this season too!

SCHEDULING CONFLICTS?
If you have scheduling conflicts over the summer, and your swimmers are unable to make practice at the times listed above, your swimmers can obtain a practice from the coach that can be done at the swimmers' convenience. This is optional, of course, but there will be some incentives for completing a certain number of practices per week.
In addition, the baby pool WILL be open during swim practice hours. For those of you with swimmers on the team that also have children under 5 years of age, you are welcome to enjoy the baby pool during practice hours!
Morning and Evening practice times are open to all swimmers. Feel free to mix and match!
WHAT TO DO ABOUT THREATENING WEATHER AND PRACTICE?
Not sure what to do when the weather looks threatening? Feel free to contact the coaches to ask but the rule of thumb is: RAIN OR SHINE, COLD OR WARM, THERE WILL BE PRACTICE! Don't let those thunderclouds scare your swimmers away. Unless there is thunder and lightening, we will have practice. Often, the thunderstorms will dissipate after a short period and practices may be delayed to let a storm pass, but will begin soon thereafter. If the weather/water happens to be too cold or rainy, we will have conditioning training in the form of team-building activities (like freeze tag; partnered exercises; etc.).
SWIM TEAM PARENTS, YOU ARE ESSENTIAL!
We need the support of our wonderful parents in order to be successful as a team, so get those water shoes on and get ready to have some fun with your swimmers! Never volunteered before? Don't worry! We'll show you what to do!
